Prof. Haider is a renowned Faciomaxillary Surgeon of international standing; trained in the United Kingdom, he is a senior practicing surgeon of the country with vast academic and clinical experience of having worked in the United Kingdom, USA and Pakistan. Based on his expertise he has attracted over 100 Post Graduates doctors whose training he has supervised and they are now working not only on Pakistan but beyond as well.

He represents Pakistan in international conferences and seminars; he is invited as speaker in his field of interests. He has many publications in national and international journals. He is country councillor at the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Asian Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He has been awarded fellowship by the Royal College of Physician & Surgeons of Glasgow in 2015 and the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan in 2010 in recognition of his services to the speciality. He is a fellow of the International Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons (USA), the European Association of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons, the International Cleft Lip & Palate Foundation (Japan) and the AOCMF (Switzerland). He has held the office of the President of Pakistan Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons for 2017-18.

Prof. Haider is an outstanding teacher he is involved in the training, teaching and examining of students of undergraduate and post graduate studies for the last 25 years in Pakistan, UK and USA. He is directly involved in research and has been involved in 30 original research studies. 

He has been involved with charity work and conducts free surgeries for children with cancer, which is one of the areas of his interests. 

On account of his service he was appointed as specialist surgeon to the Pakistan Navy by the Chief of Naval Staff in 2000, and now holds the rank of “Surgeon Captain”. He has an outstanding career as one of the most distinguished Faciomaxillary Surgeon of Pakistan and was last year awarded by the President of Pakistan, Dr. Arif Alvi at the 11th PCOMS held in the Armed Forces Institute of Dentistry, Rawalpindi in November, 2018 for his contribution to the country.

He has worked as the Principal and Chairman of the Academic Council of the Karachi Medical & Dental College since 2018, affiliated with the University of Karachi. Prior to this he has worked as the Vice Principal of the college and Head of Faciomaxillary Surgery Department.

Professor Dr. Wahab Bakhsh Kadri is serving as Principal Dental Section and Head of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Bahria University Medical and Dental College. He completed his Fellowship in Oral Surgery from College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. He is also Fellow of PAOMS and IAOMS .He has been associated with this practice since 2001.He has served as treasurer of Pakistan Association of Maxillofacial Surgeons (PAOMS) till 2017 and is serving as the Vice President of Academy of Continuing Dental Education (ACDER). His research & clinical interests involve Facial Trauma, TMJ disorders, Maxillofacial Pathology and Implants.  He is well published in local and international journals and is frequently invited as guest speaker in different conferences. He has conducted and supervised many surgical skills workshops in different universities.

Dr Faisal Hameed is a young dynamic member of the team. A graduate of Karachi Medical & Dental College, he completed his surgical training from the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, Karachi in 2013 under the supervision of Prof Syed Mahmood Haider. He took his Fellowship exams in 2016 from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan.

He is now on the Faculty of the Jinnah Sindh Medical University, working as an Assistant Professor in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He has gained expertise in management of oral surgical issues and dental implantology. He is also working on a regular basis on patients with pre-existing medical conditions, and those with facial injuries. He is part of the regular team in oral surgical oncology cases too.
